We had our Veterans Day Program
on November 10, 2011 in the Center
Auditorium. The Talihina High
School Music group that usually
comes out to perform patriotic songs
were not able to be here this year.
We did have one student, Taylor
Griffith, (my Granddaughter) that
sang for the audience. Taylor is 14
years old and in the eighth grade..
Taylor has perform in several plays at
Eastern Oklahoma State College and
competed in the Miss Diamond
Pageant. She is a very
talented young lady and we are very
proud of her.
I was not able to attend the Veterans
Day Program, I was in Washington
DC, meeting with the VA,
representing the State of Oklahoma
the Administrator
and the National Association of State
Veterans Homes as their VA/NASVH
Liaison Chairman.
We also had our Volunteer Program
to recognize our many volunteers
that make our Veterans day much
brighter and more enjoyable. Our
volunteers give our residents their
valuable time and talents. We
appreciate each one of you from the
Karaoke singers to the Bingo players
and to the Churches that brings
God's message and to all those in
between, we thank you.
Until next time, and as always,
"Caring for Americas Heroes."
