WHY COLLEGE COMPLETION IS IMPORTANT For the first time in our history, the current generation of college-age Americans will be less educated than their parents'generation. Unless things change quickly, our nation and state will not be competitive globally. Oklahoma's economy is projected to produce more than 500,000 job openings by 2018, and more than 313,000 of those openings will require a college education.
