OSU makes nation's list of best medical schools A jury of its peers has named the Oklahoma State University (OSU) College of Osteopathic Medicine, for the third year in a row, one of the best medical schools in the nation for primary care and rural medicine. The exclusive top rankings are from the recently released U.S. News & World Report 2004 Best Graduate Schools guide. Read more on OSU's College of Osteopathic Medicine. Foundation reimburses Cameron tuition lost through war deployments A Lawton philanthropic foundation is helping the American war effort by covering educational funds lost by Cameron University through the deployment of nearly 100 students to the Persian Gulf. During a recent meeting, the McMahon Foundation approved a gift of $63,780 to Cameron. The funds offset tuition, fees and student grant money that the university lost as a result of “Operation Iraqi Freedom.” Read more on the McMahon Foundation's gift. Eighth graders make great college students What happens when low income, first generation college-bound students with reasonably good test scores, but poor attendance and/or poor grades, enter an innovative partnership program school that sets high standards and offers plenty of support? If the school is the Pathways Middle College High School on the Oklahoma City Community College campus, they thrive. Read more on OCCC's Pathways program. RSU-TV unveils student news magazine Rogers State University’s television station debuted a half-hour, student-produced news magazine featuring news and stories from around campus recently on RSU-TV. The station broadcasts on UHF channel 35, Claremore and Tulsa cable channel 19, and more than 70 cable systems in northeastern Oklahoma and southern Kansas.
