She is a Comanche native with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She is excited about working with the elderly/ disabled population. We are glad to have you aboard, Robin. CDBG Awards: The following communities in ASCOG’s area have been awarded CDBG grants: Minco ($280,560) for water system improvements, Randlett ($244,080) for water system improvements and Wayne ($232,000) for wastewater system improvements. Announcements have not yet been made for Community Revitalization applications. REAP Applications: On-line REAP applications are due by 5:00 p.m. on September 18. If you need any assistance, please call ASCOG community and economic development staff. Ombudsman Training: Free 2-day training on long-term care regulations and related issues will be held on Oct. 2 and 3 at the Canadian Valley Technology Center in Chickasha. All sessions will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. You may use this training to help yourself or help others by advocating for their rights, quality of care and quality of life; this is what an ombudsman does. Two Join ASCOG Workforce staff: Luzella Williams, Clinton, has joined the ASCOG workforce development team as a counselor and has been assigned to the Workforce Oklahoma Center - Clinton. Keosha Richie, Chickasha, has joined the ASCOG workforce development team as a counselor and has been assigned to the Workforce Oklahoma Center – Chickasha. ASCOG Offices Closed: ASCOG offices will be closed Monday, September 2 for Labor Day. Offices will open for business Tuesday, September 3.
