Will you help? This is your opportunity to help your community with very little effort. Well, actually, the payroll department will set up convenient payroll deduction and viola! You are donating to a good cause. It is also possible for employees to make a one-time donation by sending the card and a check to Mary Martin if the monthly deductions not your style. Be sure to fill out your pledge form and return it to your Expo Continued→ Tell Us What YOU Think 500 Go to OSB for EXPO October 4 and 5, the fourth annual DRS EXPO was a huge success at the Oklahoma School for the Blind. This year's event had a wealth of information with great speakers and exhibitors. More than 500 attended the EXPO. Check out all the event photos. You will see that many had a great time. Special thanks goes to the EXPO committee for their hard work that made the event a success. Without the volunteers, DRS EXPO would not be possible. The following are responsible for the event being such a resounding success. Ringing in the Years Open Enrollment Continued→ Tell Us What YOU Think To HMO or Not to HMO That is the question along with what all is really covered, did my coverage change and will this ever be easy? Open Enrollment can be a very daunting time and making a decision can be tough. The best way to make a decision is to actually carve out a chunk of time and read everything carefully, go to the Insurance meetings and, if necessary call the insurance company you are thinking about signing up with and ask any remaining questions. Don’t wait till the last minute to do your on-line enrollment. That can cause you to make an uninformed choice that you will have to live with for a full year. When asked what the biggest issue with the Open Enrollment, Ray Kongsala, Human Resources programs manager, said “Procrastination.” “The problem is this year, we’re not going to have United Healthcare plan. That means if you now have United Healthcare and don’t enroll, the system will assign you to Health Choice High Alternative. “You will be put in on a smoker’s plan even though you are a non-smoker because you didn’t fill out the Tobacco-Free Attestation form,” Kongsala said.
