Latimer County ends year with Oklahoma’s highest county
In December 2011, Latimer County posted the state’s highest county unemployment rate at 10.5 percent.
Hughes County claimed the state’s second highest county rate, and McCurtain County accounted for the third
highest monthly rate. Roger Mills County reported Oklahoma’s lowest county rate in December. For the
month, 57 of Oklahoma’s 77 counties, or nearly three-quarters, reported unemployment rate increases.
