Oklahoma Parents Center Mission Statement Oklahoma Parents Center is dedicated to the inclusion and equality of children and adults with disabilities. Our mission is to train, inform, educate, and support parents, families, professionals and consumers in building partnerships that meet the needs of children and youth with the full range of disabilities ages birth through twenty-six. Fall 2011 6th Annual Statewide Conference6th Conference We would like to announce our upcoming 6th Annual Statewide Conference “Building Relationships...Creating Successful Change” on Friday, March 2nd, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The conference will be held in Midwest City at the Sheraton Hotel at the Reed Conference Center, located at 5750 Will Rogers Road. Our main speaker will be Matt Cohen, a national speaker on disabilities. He is well known for his work in special education law and has extensive experience in health care and mental health law. The Oklahoma Parents Center is currently looking for “A Few Good Presenters!” To submit a presentation proposal, email to lcoats@oklahomaparentscenter.org or fax to 405-379-2106. We are excited to announce our 1st Annual “Parent of the Year” Award along with the “Who is Your Hero?” art contest for children and youth with disabilities from birth to age 26. Details to follow on our website - www.OklahomaParentsCenter.org. Registration will be available beginning January 17th, 2012. A limited number of scholarships will be available to parents of children with disabilities! Please Note: This conference is limited to the first 300 registrants!!! Vendor booths are available!!!
