FOR RELEASE: December 6, 2011 OKLAHOMA EMPLOYMENT REPORT - October 2011 Metropolitan statistical area (MSA) and county information October’s highest county unemployment rate belongs to Latimer County Latimer County claimed Oklahoma’s highest county unemployment rate of 10.2 percent in October 2011. Okmulgee County posted the state’s second highest county rate, and McCurtain County recorded the third highest monthly rate. Roger Mills County again reported Oklahoma’s lowest county rate. In October, 71 of Oklahoma’s 77 counties reported increased unemployment rates over the month. FOR RELEASE: December 6, 2011 OKLAHOMA EMPLOYMENT REPORT - October 2011 Metropolitan statistical area (MSA) and county information October’s highest county unemployment rate belongs to Latimer County Latimer County claimed Oklahoma’s highest county unemployment rate of 10.2 percent in October 2011. Okmulgee County posted the state’s second highest county rate, and McCurtain County recorded the third highest monthly rate. Roger Mills County again reported Oklahoma’s lowest county rate. In October, 71 of Oklahoma’s 77 counties reported increased unemployment rates over the month.
