David A. Farris has been collecting stories about Oklahoma outlaws and the
state's spooky past since the early 1990s. He has delved into this treasure
trove of the unusual to write successful books about outlaws and the state's
mysterious tales. His works consistently rank in the top ten of Border's local
bestseller list. He has been a featured speaker at varied venues, ranging
from the Red Dirt Book Festival in Shawnee to the International UFO Museum at
Roswell, New Mexico. In addition to being a popular lecturer on Sooner
mysteries and folklore, Farris has been featured in many TV and radio
interviews, and in more than 30 articles. He has written for True West, Norman
Living, and Edmond Life and Leisure magazines. A native Oklahoman, he is a
graduate of Bishop McGuinness High School and the University of Central
B.A. (Communications), University of Central Oklahoma, Edmond, Oklahoma.
