Purpose	With VAWA [Violence Against Women Act 1994] funding from the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control, the Oklahoma State Department of Health awarded a contract to the Oklahoma Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault to: 1)review the magnitude of violence against women in the U.S. and Oklahoma; 2) conduct an assessment of the status of the system in the state to prevent and respond to violence against women; and 3) recommend actions to improve Oklahoma's response to violence against women. This report is the culmination of that assessment.
